The Prior Lake – Spring Lake Watershed District’s monitoring program includes a mix of staff-led, volunteer-based, and contracted work which incorporates lake, stream, precipitation and aquatic vegetation monitoring.
About our Programs
Data collected in streams and lakes throughout the District is used in order to answer a variety of questions like: How is the water quality changing over time? How does the quality in this stream affect the quality of that lake? How does the quality of this lake compare to other lakes? Is this goal a realistic goal? What are some ways we can try to improve the quality of water?
